Major research interests: improving transitions of care and return to highest practical level of function for patients surrounding hospitalization. This includes pre-hospital fall prevention and independence promotion, in-hospital maintenance and recovery of physical function, and post-hospital recovery of function, integration into society, and avoidance of adverse events such as falls and readmissions. I am widely trained including expertise in qualitative research, mixed methodologies, learning health systems and health services research, and implementation science with proficiency in quantitative methods and clinical trial design.
