Sandra M. Shi, MD MPH

Positions

Dr. Shi is an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Scientist at the Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute at Hebrew SeniorLife.

She earned her medical degree and completed residency at the University of Chicago, followed by Geriatrics fellowship at the Harvard Multicampus Geriatrics Program.

Dr. Shi's research in frailty strives to improve post-acute rehabilitation outcomes for older adults at skilled nursing facilities. Her ultimate goal is to leverage post-acute care as a window of opportunity to enhance quality of life, by combining geriatrics and rehabilitation sciences to enhance functional recovery and patient centered outcomes.
